my book

I am the founder of WAWA BLA BLA. A documentation and personal account of Warsaw's Urban Graffiti and Street Art.
After years of art fairs and markets selling my photography, I took on the challenge to publish my book and went on to open the vibrant and successful WAWA BLA BLA Art Gallery!.

If you don't like urban art and graffiti, don't have imagination and never day dream then you don't need my book.

about me

Born in the early 70's, I grew up in a house at the top of a hill. A house full of books, music and Art in South Benfleet, a coastal village in Essex, UK. Yes, I am an Essex girl! Fast forward 50+ years and I'm now based in Gdansk, Poland.
My life so far has taken many twists and turns, one thing has been constant, my need to paint. Over the years I often denied myself the need to paint, and this never did me any good. At the start of 2025, as a determined woman and a mum, I took control of my own destiny, built discipline into habit and vowed I would never deny that need to paint again.

I paint every day. My art is abstract, with hints of expressionism. I am a mixed media artist. I have one mantra courtesy of one of the greats, Vincent Van Gogh... "Find things beautiful as much as you can, most people find too little beautiful".
I feel lucky. Lucky because I can honestly say, from the glasses on my head, blades of grass on a curb to the fresh fruit I slice open, I see beauty in everything.

Vincent van Gogh / Mark Rothko / Tracey Emin / Henri Mattisse / Eric Stefanski / Proembrion / Nespoon / Jackson Pollock Gerhard Richter and the list goes on!

Without a doubt...
90%  energy - Jackson Pollock 'Number 10 Convergence' oil and enamel on canvas 1952. A large canvas, known for its vibrant and chaotic abstract style.
10% mood - Mark Rothko 'No.1' 1961 oil on canvas. Featuring irregular, soft edged rectangular forms demonstrating the relationship between scale, colour and space.

100% get it framed! I love to see my work mounted and framed, and on the wall!

I am a firm believer in supporting local community, maintaining practical skills and traditions.
I favour using local craftsmen and women for a bespoke framing service. Of course If this exceeds the budget then I recommend ready-made's, preferably with sustainable and locally sourced materials and manufacturing in Poland, EU or UK :)
While I do produce work on a variety of materials and sizes, I may factor in the finished product and how to keep it affordable.

Lucky for me, I can imagine and visualise my art in YOUR interior.
For those who need a bit more encouragement to fill the gap on their wall, the 'frameit' app is the perfect FREE AI tool to showcase my art framed and placed in a scaled to size interior!

Yes.
Based on your requirements, wishes and budget, I will curate the story through colour and texture and create a piece of abstract art which can resonate with your commission.
Unique, tailormade art for you or gifting.
